This TV comedy drama takes a look at just how difficult it can be to make it as a star in the entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood. The basis of the show is the search by two very different young women for success as they also look to live their everyday lives as they try to build a successful career for the future. The 101 TV show begins with the arrival of Royal Schott in Los Angeles, where she is hoping to pursue her two main dreams in life of becoming a singer and attending UCLA. Royal soon finds a manager to aid her search for stardom, but also finds herself struggling to juggle this dream with her personal life and difficult school schedule. Upon arriving at UCLA Royal is placed in a dorm room with Scarlet, a former child star who is seeking to relaunch her career after problems in her personal life. The two budding stars are managed by Jay D, who seeks to push them to stardom despite having to live the normal life of college students.
