Watch Paul O'Grady: For The Love Of Dogs - India

The comedian and dog-lover presents his final report from Delhi, where 400,000 pooches live on the streets. Paul joins in with the celebrations for Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, with the people and animals of one of Delhi's oldest dog shelters. He also helps a traumatised puppy make new friends, joins medics as they rush to rescue a four-week-old street pup who may have been hit by a car and falls in love with an elderly black labrador who lives at the rescue centre. Will he be able to resist bringing the pooch back to Britain with him? Last in the series.

As Paul continues his Indian adventure, he helps a traumatised dog who desperately needs to find a home. He is also out and about treating injured dogs with some of Delhi's amazing street vets, but ends up needing some medical attention himself.

It's Paul's second week in the heart of Delhi and he meets an abandoned young street pup called Toto, whose ears are badly infected. Toto's ears were so red raw when he arrived that the hair on them might never grow back and he is in desperate need of some TLC. Meanwhile, Friendicoes canine behaviourist Pia attempts to train a boisterous Labrador who can't currently be rehomed because of his behaviour. He was abandoned in the park behind the shelter and proves to be quite a handful. Can Paul work his magic with the naughtiest dog in Delhi?

In the first episode, Paul meets an abandoned street dog pup with a potentially fatal virus and an adorable golden retriever who will not stop chewing her paw. He also rolls up his sleeves like never before as he rescues a litter of puppies that were born in the grounds of the beautiful Lodhi Gardens from almost certain death.
