Join Chef Susy to check the pulse of pulses! Pulses are the edible seeds of plants in the legume family, such as chickpeas, dried beans, dried peas to the well-known lentil. She goes to her favorite local supermarket, finding the many different pulses and other ingredients she needs, from local tahini to tomato paste.

Join Chef Susy on a tasty discovery of the many products from goats! She travels to Peninsula farms, where she meets the cute goats, sees the clean and playful areas where they roam, and sees how a farm works with producing all things goat.

Join Chef Susy on an uplifting and tasty exploration of tea! Arabic culture has a strong history and appreciation for tea. Chef Susy goes to a local specialty tea shop, Tchaba, where the Bahraini owner shares the importance of tea in the region and the many different varieties she supplies.

Join Chef Susy on a fresh exploration of vegetables! Bahrain, though a desert island, has miraculously been able to grow lots of fresh produce to the delight of Chef Susy.

Join Chef Susy on a historical exploration of rice! Bahraini culture eats rice daily, in traditional dishes like machbous, similar to the Indian Biryani. Chef Susy shows the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Bahrain Fort, or Q'alat al Bahrain.

Join Chef Susy on an exciting sea adventure! Bahrain is an island that literally translates to "between two seas". Chef Susy takes a boat ride on a traditional Bahraini fisherman's dhow, seeing the city skyline in the background.

In the kitchen, Chef Susy has over ten different date varieties to share. She shares her plan for cooking with dates, making sweet and savory dishes to have a full meal with this sweet taste for her guests.
