When the owner of a decrepit Scottish castle finds he no longer has the funds to maintain its upkeep, he desperately tries to hatch a scheme to keep it running. A coal firm wants to buy it to use as a resort, and an American cousin wants to buy it as a second home. However, things take an interesting turn when a ghost makes its presence known, and the owner believes he can use spooky rumors to attract paranormal-loving tourists.
