Watch Choking Man

Jorge is a neurotically-shy Ecuadorian dishwasher working in Queens. His coworker Jerry is an ex-con who enjoys tormenting him. All day long, Jorge silently scrapes and scours the dishes and pans. All day long, a wall diagram watches Jorge: a poster with Heimlich Maneuver instructions. Jorge's English isn't great, but he understands the Universal Choking Sign. Then a new waitress is hired and Jorge falls for her--but the mere thought of talking to Amy sends Jorge into a panic attack. When Jerry starts wooing Amy, Jorge has to decide whether he has the strength to face his fears and speak.
