The Band of Brothers, a hard fighting group of heroes in World War II, was led by Richard D. Winters. This documentary film focuses on the dedication of a monument to Major Winters, in Normandy, France. And, it details the exceptional events brought about by Winters' expert, courageous leadership. The film gives insider views on his friendships with people of the area, especially the owners of Brecourt Manor, the very location of the famous Normandy Beach Assault. It was Winters and his men who took out four large German artillery guns that were making Utah Beach into hamburger for the American troops.
