Watch False Pretenses

False Pretenses is an American black-and-white comedy about two people who are down on their luck. They concoct a scheme they hope will benefit them both. The man used to be rich and still has rich friends. He will teach the former waitress how to act like a lady and hopefully catch someone's eye. Once she's married, she will give him some money as a finder's fee.
