Watch Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai

A young Samurai finds the difficulties of his current life too much to handle alone and decides to make a plea he hopes will end in mercy. He seeks out the aid of the local Samurai lord with the confession he must commit ritual suicide, for failing to provide for his family, called Hara-Kiri. His sad story does not move the master to help him by offering money, but he instead gives permission to use the sacred courtyard for his death as he asked. His uncle learns of what he has done and travels quickly to discover what has happened.
