Malia is only 12-years-old and her father is a professional wrestler. She is kidnapped from a Sudan village and taken into captivity where she is sold as a slave. She is then beaten by the woman who owns her because Malia touched the woman’s daughter. This type of abuse continues, and she is threatened with the death of her father if she goes to the authorities with her story. It is a no win situation for her and it seems there is no way out if she wants to keep her father safe. During her journey, she realizes that there are other girls in the same position as she is in.
