Paul and Nelly fall in love and get married before moving into the hotel he manages in this French drama. After having a baby together life seems perfect as Paul makes a success of the hotel and Nelly enjoys her role beside him at the hotel. A guest, Martineau, arrives and begins to spend some time with Nelly, which makes Paul jealous and begin a spiral down to madness and depression. As Paul becomes more and more jealous his actions become more erratic and he struggles to hold back his anger.
