Watch Old Testament

This isn't your typical Old Testament highly-dramatized film. It focuses on the Apocrypha. The Old Testament is a costume drama set in 165 B.C. that shows the struggles of the Maccabees in conflict with Antiochus Epiphanes. Judas was the first leader to lead a revolt against Seleucid kings that were persecuting the Jews, so when Syrian forces drove the Jews out of Jerusalem, Mattathias and his five sons decided to fight back by returning to Jerusalem and subduing their attackers.
