Patema is a young lady from an underground civilization that lives in an amazing labyrinth of complicated tunnels and underground caves. Her entire life she has been told never to venture outside of the underground civilization for if she does, she is sure to face a world of great evil and great danger. Letting her curiosity get the best of her, Patema travels a little to far, to the outside world, and it is there that she meets a young man named Age. Age is intrigued by Patema and her lifestyle, and even more shocking is the fact that to each other, they appear as though they're standing upside-down.
