Watch Purple Butterfly

Purple Butterfly, alternatively known as "Zi hudie" is a Mandarin/Japanese/Vietnamese film written and directed by Ye Lou and featuring Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). Ziyi stars as Ding Hui, a member of the Chinese Purple Butterfly resistance group in Japanese occupied Shanghai. Ding Hui is romantically involved with Hidehiko Itami (Toru Nakamura) who works for a police force tasked with dissolving the resistance group. The film is rated R for strong violence and a scene of sexuality.
