"Que Viva Mexico" (1932) is a film project by the Russian avant-garde director Sergei Eisenstein who had planned to make a movie about Mexico that depicted its history from pre-Columbian times to the Mexican Revolution. The film was divided into several parts, with each part set in a different time and emphasizing a different couple. The film was eventually abandoned before its completion until 1979, when Grigori Alexandrov found some of the footage and put it together while following Eisenstein's plans.
