This Japanese historical drama film debuted in theaters in 2007. It is based on a manga series created by Moyoco Anno. The film follows a young girl who is working at a brothel. She is sold to a wealthy family to become a courtesan in their household. As the young girl named Tomeki, develops into a beautiful and crafty woman conflicts begin to develop between the other courtesans of the house. Soon a handsome young man of the family shows up and the two have a strong attraction, but love is prohibited between the two classes.
