In this Canadian drama, Lance is a struggling actor who takes a job as a hotel janitor, but his main source of income is working as a gigolo in a service run by his female boss. Adding complications to his life is a co-worker who becomes infatuated with him although he has no romantic interest in her. His acting career seems to be on the upswing when he meets a screenwriter at the hotel. After she hires him to star in her upcoming movie based on the life of her now deceased brother, actor and writer become romantically involved.
