Watch The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari

When a festival comes to the German village of Holstenwall, one of the featured attractions is the sleepwalking assistant of hypnotist Dr. Caligari named Cesare, billed as the man who can answer any question. Francis and Alan attend the exhibit, with Alan inquiring how long he will live. Cesare accurately predicts Alan's death within 24 hours, and Francis is left to investigate whether Caligari hypnotized Cesare to murder his friend. Cesare's kidnapping of Francis' girlfriend Jane leads to tragedy and Caligari's connection to a local insane asylum is revealed.
