"The Magic Flute" (1975) is a Swedish film adaptation of Mozart's opera of the same name. It was directed by Ingmar Bergman. The main character, Tamino, is a lost prince who vows to rescue a beautiful girl when he hears that she'd been abducted by an apparently wicked sorcerer. The girl's mother promises to let Tamino marry the girl if he succeeds. Her servants then give him the titular magic flute which can change sorrow to joy.
