The Nutcracker is a classic Christmas ballet that was released as an animated film in 1995. Based on Tchaikovsky's play, a little girl named Marie received a Nutcracker from her godfather on Christmas Eve. Unknown to her, the Nutcracker is actually a prince who was cursed by the evil Mouse Queen. In order to break the spell, he has to defeat the Mouse King and win Marie's love. The two travels to the Land of the Dolls and help reclaim the kingdom. The Nutcracker is a timeless classic because the movie shows action and friendship. Though the characters names may change a little, the format of the movie is still the same.
