The Odds is a murder mystery set in the world of teenage gambling. Gambling deals with the seedier side of life. When it involves teenagers the life has a glamour all out of proportion to reality. When two teens go into this world one of them is murdered. The 17-year-old who is not murdered must find his best friend's killer.

Searching for his best friend's killer, this 17-year-old teenager must navigate the world of crime. The odds are against him finding out who did it and why it was done. When trying to solve a crime the odds are against the professionals and he is an amateur.
