Watch The Rabbi's Cat

This French language film is set in 1920s Algiers and North Africa, and explores issues of faith and tolerance with charming wit and a singular, refreshing approach to animation. After attaining the ability to speak when he swallows the family parrot, the titular feline of the film accompanies his beloved friend the Rabbi, the Rabbi's daughter, and a host of other imaginative characters as they search for a fabled city in Northern Africa and the cat attempts to convert to Judaism.
