Actors Thea (Ingrid Thulin), Sebastian (Anders Ek) and Hans (Gunnar Bjrnstrand) are sequestered in the offices of Judge Abrahamson (Erik Hell), who questions them about the play they have been performing, which has been accused of being obscene.
