This movie is a romantic young love story. Heather and Lucas are friends from childhood, and fall passionately in love. Lucas has his own dreams of becoming a successful athlete. Heather is independent and free willed. The two teenagers are from opposite sides of the tracks and disregard their parents’ wishes by pursueing a relationship. Disappointed with his son's choice of interests, Lucas's father makes plans to force an end to the relationship to protect his son's future. Tragedy strikes and a surprise twist causes greater tension between Lucas's father and his girlfriend.
