Genesis is a 1999 movie that illustrates a fight for prominence, and subsequently, power and respect. Three families in Canaan are featured. The story is one that has been told before, but in this movie, it's told with an intriguing twist. A group of herdsmen led by Jacob is in a struggle against another group of cattle men led by Jacob's older brother Esau. According to the Biblical account, the older brother will serve the younger one. These two brothers eventually become leaders of their own nations and peoples. In the middle of the fighting is their cousin Hamor and his group of animal herders.
