Little Senegal is an offbeat dramatic film about an African man working in a museum in Senegal. He decides to go to America in a search for his heritage. He learns that several members of his family tree were sold as slaves in South Carolina and wants to find out more about them. He finds documents that show that his relatives were renamed. His search takes him up to New York City and he finds a nephew who is a cabdriver. The nephew takes him in, and our star meets a woman who owns a corner store. He suspects that she is also a relative.
