"Global Effect" (2002) is an action film. In it, an eco-terrorist kidnaps a scientist to coerce her into helping unleash a genetically engineered virus that could kill everybody on Earth. Help is on the way in the form of a mercenary soldier and his troop. But the mercenaries have other problems -- like some vicious diamond smugglers.
