Always on the lookout for a potential husband, Fran takes Grace along with her to their neighborhood's upscale supermarket to see what she can find. And, as Grace seizes the moment to make a serious raid on the store's cereal display, Fran finds herself being courted by handsome customer Glen Mitchell. Despite Maxwell's disapproval of the strategy, Fran then makes a date with Glen, thinking she is going out with a successful and wealthy stockbroker. Meanwhile, C.C. suggests that Maxwell invest in a vacation house on Martha's Vineyard. Upon arriving for their date, Glen is immediately taken with the fact that Fran works for Maxwell Sheffield. As she waits impatiently for their romantic lunch date, Glen endears himself to Maxwell and ends up sinking C.C.'s vacation home dreams when he recommends investing a in hot stock. However, while out helping Brighton develop a whole new look, Fran is surprised to find that her new boyfriend is not a stockbroker at all, but a curbside hot dog vendor
